Find Your Way Back to Inner Peace in Less Than 7 Days!
I'm having the most amazing time here in Waikiki. It’s my birthday week, and the best gift I've given myself is starting each day with mindful meditation in this incredible place. I've signed up for daily morning meditation at 7:15 a.m., and today felt extra special. After meditation, I stayed for a yoga session, truly treating myself. This is what finding flow is all about, and for me, flow comes through self-care.
Just three days ago, I hadn’t even heard about the meditation sessions as one of the resort's activities, let alone imagined myself signing up for one. I feel genuinely blessed—especially practicing meditation and yoga right next to the ocean. I hear the waves hitting the shore, feel the earth’s natural energy beneath me as I lay back, soaking up the sun, the sky, the clouds, the breeze, the chirping birds, and even the barking of a seal. Yes, a seal! Although we didn’t see it, everyone heard it. It must have come onto shore; it sounded so communicative.
The meditation, as always, was incredibly relaxing. Beyond being in beautiful Hawaii and right next to the ocean, I love that the meditation courtyard feels like a touch of Italy. I feel so energized and inspired to start my day afterward. I love the sound of nature and being immersed in it.
Today, I want to share two key takeaways from my yoga session this morning. The instructor shared two elements from her yogi study. First, she emphasized that when we work on ourselves—whether through stretches, movements, or any practice—we learn to let go of expectations from others. When we focus on self-improvement, we stop expecting others to change for us. This philosophy really resonates with me. It’s about honoring ourselves and others in the purest and truest form.
The second point she made was about learning to like ourselves. In the context of yoga, this means letting go of how we think our practice should look. We do what we can, allowing our bodies to move naturally rather than forcing ourselves into every pose. The key is to allow flow to happen—to let our minds create the space for our bodies to move freely. There’s no force, only flow. When we can simply be with ourselves, liking and caring for ourselves, we’ll never feel lonely again. Solitude becomes natural and peaceful. This is true freedom.
With a focus on self-care, what are you willing to commit to doing for yourself this week? What will you do to create space for more love and kindness in your life?
Thank you for being here.
Till next time…
Find your flow. Find your freedom.
